The Domestic Pig (Sus Domestica)

Pigs are believed to have been domesticated from wild boar as early as 9000 BCE. The adaptable nature and omnivorous diet of the wild boar allowed early humans to domesticate it readily. Pigs were mostly used for food, but early civilisations also used the pigs' hides for shields, bones for tools and weapons, and bristles for brushes.

A Shoulder to Cry On

I studied in a government school and had many Malay friends in primary school. Without much understanding of what they were saying, there were a few times my Malay friends would shout ?Balik Tongsan!? at me when we quarreled. I would shout ? Makan Babi!? back at them because that seemed to create great disturbances in them.
